When to book your newborn photo session:
For the angelic, sleepy newborn photos, the ideal age is between 5-20 days after birth. Because of the short time span, it's recommended to reach out before your due date to secure a slot. No worries- if your baby decides to make an early appearance, or stays cozy inside way past her expected due date, we will adjust accordingly.
For Lifestyle newborn pictures, there is a greater flexibility with timing, and we go up to about a month old.
What should everyone wear for newborn photos?
Getting the whole family into the scene makes for beautiful photos you'll truly treasure! Parents and siblings should wear clothes in soft, light, neutral tones- think whites, ivory, and soft beige. These colors go with the soft vibe and don't steal the focus from your baby. Dressy clothes are highly recommended- knits, wovens, and beautiful lacy textures all enhance the scene. Avoid any T-shirt materials, busy prints, or anything with printed words.
Baby can be brought in any clothes, as we have all the beautiful newborn outfits and wraps in the studio. A well-fitted white undershirt is recommended, but not required.
What's the difference between fine art (classic) and lifestyle newborn sessions?
In a fine art session, we create classic posed masterpieces. Your newborn will be gently swaddled, asleep and posed in a variety of beautiful setups. You can also choose to get some photos with the siblings/parents in the classic studio.
Lifestyle sessions are family-centered, with your newborn in the loving arms of a parent or sibling, and can be awake or asleep. These sessions take place under our big, beautiful window, capturing lots of natural light.
what's included in a newborn session?
All photo session packages can be applied to your newborn photoshoot. Fine art sessions include a limited number of images, edited to painterly perfection. The amount of images included will vary based on the package tier selected. Additional images can be added to your package at any time. Lifestyle sessions include all the winning images from your session, lightly color corrected for dreamy vibes. Fine art edits can be added to your lifestyle package at any time.
